The ego will increase the separation anxiety and hold on to its established 'values', and so also "can clash in any situation" and support to see the teacher as a 'larger ego'. Jesus - in this passage - gives you (as he talked to Bill about this) back your true worth as the holy Son of God, directing the mind in its transformation to the awareness of fear, doubt and ego-oriented teaching goals, etc. His directive is very clear: "Listen only to God!" - Who is incapable of deception as is the Soul of His Son (you, me, all of us) HE created. ◊ <br />
